An accomplished professional with over two decades of award-winning photography and cinematography experience within journalism, advertising, and marketing
My first real job was covering live events and music for the local street rags as the NW Music scene was blowing up. Following an editorial assignment overseas, I moved to Africa and soon found myself bouncing from one third-world war zone to the next. Stringing for newswires, I covered countless conflicts and political issues. Awarded work included the Rwandan Genocide, South African Elections, Rebels in Angola, and from Zaire back to Congo.
Working on my first feature film, Flame, I continued to direct dozens of documentary films such as God Gift, War and Beyond the Forbidden Zone, as well as develop special request footage for feature films such as Syriana and War, Inc. By the end of the century, I was field producing coverage of world events and politics, including Afghanistan and Iraq, for a number of television networks including Asia News Network, NBC, and StarTV.
Accepting a recruitment offer from an Singapore based advertising agency, I started out producing online campaigns for clients such as 7-eleven. This quickly progressed to larger TVC campaigns with clients such as Land Rover and Nivea. Having clear passions for the outdoors, within a year I was leading small-team campaign productions across remote locations for clients looking for an adventurous edge.
Returning to America, my career followed passion projects along a journey through production houses, ski resorts, and the action sports communities. Working with some of the world’s leading sport brands such as Red Bull, Vail, and Marmot, today I am focused on telling stories that drive audience value with compelling and shareable content.
